Problems Caused by Iron Bacteria

Iron Bacteria can cause corrosion and plugging conditions. It can also produce large amounts of brown slime, reddish tinge, and unpleasant odor (musty to rotten egg). Iron Bacteria can also foul the resin bed of a water softener. A treatment solution for this is Chlorination.
