Fleck 5600SXT FILTER only valve, backwashing only for FILTER tanks with carbon, calcite, iron media, ect. It is NOT for a water softener, it does NOT have a brine connection as a softener needs.
Timer control regenerates based on timed basis, allowing you to set regeneration frequency to a number of days or to specific days of the week. This is ideal for filter tank systems that need regular backwashing to prevent media fouling and flow restriction.
Automatic backwashing of carbon tanks, sediment filters, iron filters. Simple, time tested design uses a piston to control water flow. This allows for reliable performance and reduces maintenance cost and time.
You will need a yoke connection or a bypass valve if you do not currently have one.
